My name is Dr. Darren Steele. I graduated from Purdue’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Upon graduation, I moved back to my hometown of Brownsburg to continue in the family business at Westwood Hospital For Animals. I spent 15 years in general practice medicine with a special interest in surgery. I thoroughly enjoyed the many friendships and relationships built with my clients and patients over all the years of general practice, but my calling towards a focus on surgery could not be ignored. The demand for more affordable surgery has continued to grow as the cost to staff and manage 24/7 emergency clinics has risen significantly, therefore driving up the cost of care. The emergency clinics provide a great service and we are blessed to have them here in central Indiana for when your pet has those after hours emergencies, but sometimes the cost of treatment is out of reach. My goal is to fill the need with a more affordable option whenever possible for those clients that cannot have surgery performed at their primary care location or at the emergency clinic. We are not a replacement for your primary veterinarian or an emergency clinic. We are here to provide surgery after you have a diagnosis of what surgical procedure is needed for your pet. The list of surgeries performed, and prices are located on our website. Please reach out if I can be of help to your pet.
